Intro:
(Introduction to PB through the lens movie)
Hi my name is Grayson Edwards I’m a 9th grader at HTHI. In this presentation I will be discussing revision, How I learn best and my most proud moment in 9th grade.
Body 1: Revision
When we started The Great Dionysus play project we split up into 4 person groups and each group had to create an idea for a play the whole class could create. The tri fold board was an example of something I revised thoroughly during the project. The problem with our group was we din’t get a lot of work done because we messed around so much. I basically revised the whole thing because at thatr point I didn’t have anything done so, I took the iniative of getting it done myself. The final grade I got was a B- which i think is a huge improvent considering I was close togetting an F. I learned that I need to get more of my group members involved in the work process.
Body 2: HTHI Learner
I think I learn best independently because I don’t need to worry about anyting else other then myself and I think I get work done much faster then I do with a group of people. I experienced success independently working on the POW’s because I can plan out and write how I would solve the problem without someone else telling me how I need to write it out. An academic skill that is difficult for me is working with groups that don’t want to work because I feel like I need to do the work for them or I have to repeatedly tell them to get it done. I plan to use the time I get in class to get the homework done because I get it done fast and I don’t porcrasinate when I get home.
Body 3: Most Proud Moment
My most proud moment by far this year was my San Diego Through the lens movie. Each group would explore, take pictures, research and interview people from the neighborhood and later took all their material and created a documentary about that neighborhood. I’m most proud of my movie because my group and I put so much effort into the preperation and the making of the movie and the grade showed all the hard work. This shows how much of a hard worker I am and dedicated I can be to a project and going beyond the minimum which something I don’t do often at school.
Conclusion: Looking Ahead
A couple goals I have for next year is like I said take time in class to get work done so ZI don’t procrasinate when I get home and Makr teh best of the opertunties I’m given when it comes to extra credit, college or something outside of school. My advice to incoming 9th graders take advantadge of opertunties and get involved in something your interested in because it could really benefit you in the future. This concludes my POL thank you for listening I hope you enjoyed it.
